Prophetic Faith 🤯

 I'm in a state of "mind blown"

I mean I have heard several teachings on Faith and how it is worked, but never ever I've I heard it preached the way it was a few hours ago at Church, twice! (Twice because I had to join the second service again just to .. what's the word... behold these truths.)

I bless God for the Servant of God, Pastor Emmanuel Iren.

Now unto today's sermon points... just a few key points really, cos this shouldn't be long, and I'll strongly suggest you Watch a replay for the sermon on Youtube.

Before I proceed I feel I need to say this, the content of this sermon, I think might not be so easy for a new Christian to grab at first hand. If you are not so familiar with bible characters and their experiences, you might feel lost, but you should get the main principle. If you've been a Christian for a while, you should be familiar, but you definitely will gain a new perspective to what Faith is,  a right perspective (though unpopular). It's right there in plain words in the bible, but majority of Christians miss this perspective because, we really haven't studied deeply and we are fond of hand picking scriptures in isolation - not the best way to study the Bible. Let's get to my Sermon Key points.

You totally should watch the video, as my key points would not do justice to the content of the sermon.

1. True Faith that works has a context and a motive.
The theme for the teaching series is "I can move mountains" Mark 11v24
Jesus told this to His disciples about moving a mountain literally, He had just made a tree dry up from the roots. So he was re-assuring them that..  anything guys, you can have it by Faith.

Talking about moving a Mountain like Mt. Kilimanjaro, parting the Red sea comes to mind. Not so different, but the question is.. what is the motive? The motive and context makes the difference guys.

When you put Mark 11v24 and James 4v3 sides by side, you'll realize that even though, you can ask and get whatever you ask for (in Faith ), you can also ask amiss and not get it, if your request is not Godward. So the motive needs to be right the context also needs to align with God's grand scheme of things.


2. Phil 4v13 "Debunked"

Popular scripture " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

This scripture has always be applied towards self-advancement in a positive light.
"I can get that deal", "I can pass my exams", "I can win this competition"

but when you look at Phil 4v12, the pre-ceding verse:
"I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."
you realize that, Paul saying "He can do all things" meant He is able to thrive in good and not so good or bad times.

Really trying not to re-preach the sermon lol. Moving on.

3. Heb 11 - the Hall of Fame of Faith Heroes:
Most times when this scripture is referenced, it's usually toward trying to get you to believe God for something YOU want.
You hear things like "Abraham staggered not at the Promise if God... "
Sarah believed...Noah Believed e.t.c "You only have to believe"....

but for the first time in my life, I was able to understand through this teaching,
that these people were just aligned with God's agenda and they only had to believe the first time.
By the way, Abraham did stagger, he gave in to the idea of having a child through Hagar. Sarah laughed and lied, clearly doubted God's ability to give her a child in her old age. Yet, they are heroes of Faith, why? It must be because they are aligned with God's grand agenda.. Jesus. (Another sermon entirely to fully grasp that. Heb 11v13 can give you an idea.)

That's the power of Prophetic Faith.

This teaching might be a little deep, and next week, we are going deeper. So excited. .but I ask that you follow. Catch up on all the sermons on Youtube. Doesn't matter if you attend another Church or something. These teachings are just to good and biblical to not share far and wide.

I wrote all of that to buttress the key point from this sermon.

Align With God's purpose and your Faith will be effortless, because it would be prophetic by association. Some folks work their Faith tirelessly towards self-advancement, others just want what God wants or the event surrounding their circumstances are in line with prophecy, so they have it easy.

Finally, a very Good illustration of this Prophetic Faith perspective is the Waves of the Sea.
Once upon a times as a surfing student, I learned very quickly the key principle of riding a wave, you have to get on a wave and let it carry you. Same principle for Eagles, they fly easy by gliding with the wind.

Prophetic Faith is similar, it is moving in God's direction, not combating the "reluctance" of God.
It is not moving the hand of God, but moving WITH the hand of God and at that point He makes you a priority by association, He sorts out your life surely. Let prophecy carry us.

Priotizing scripture over experiences is our priority. Heb 1v1. Baptizo means to immerse in something. Luke 12v50, Mark 10v38.
