Friend of God

It is possible for you to be friends with some one and they not be friend with you. Likewise Jesus. There is a responsibility friendship bestows on you. There are 2 people God called friend. - Abraham - Moses Exo 33v10-11 - God discusses his plan with them. Marks if a God friendship 1. Intimacy and intercession. 2. Shared values and shared burdens There is an intimacy God craves. Moses: Exo 32v9 Moses spokes on behalf of the people Jesus cannot be the bread of life and also be the one sharing the bread. He needs help from Friends. 2 Cor 6v1 we workers together, co-labourer and partner with God. We were born and raised to carried it the father's business. 2Cor 5v15. Everything we would do and think should revolve around God and His plan. Our lives is not about us. We have the.ministry of reconciliation. 2 Cor 5v20. God is intimating us so we can be intercessors. Our King cannot be Long and An Ambassador at the same time. That's why He needs us, His friends and partners. There ar...

Catch Fire

Matthew 5v15 Redemptive testimony is demonstrative. The Christian is for show.. 1 Peter 2v9 Case in point, Elijah, a man that was aware and conscious of his ability in God. 1 King 28, 18v33. One of the way we can shine as light is to show power. Eph 5v18. The boldness you need is in the other side of setting yourseld in fire When you spend time print  ... By design God expected His redemptive work to show forth. You embrace God's vision for your life when you abnominate the ordinary life. This service is to prove how different we are, how eeired we ought to be in the eyes of the world. If there was anyone who emphasize d serving the true living God. Luke 9 vs 55. The purpose of power is convertion. Elijah had fire..that's destroyed. Jesus has fired that transforms. Acts 2v4 Matthew 3v11-13. Eph5v18

Like Incense.

Waiting and prayer re-aligns our priority. We must overcome the temptation of wanting to do other things. The ability notmto be distracted is the first strength that is renewed. You can be sick spiritually and not know. Deuteronomy is the re-iteration of the law... We do what we emphasize and conviction is built by what you emphasize. Heb 2v1 therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have lest we drift away. 5 classes of people JESUS related with 1. The multitude: they look for what is in it for them in prayer. "Bless me, blessed me ... A commercial approach to  Christianity.) Learn to prayer for the spread of the Gospel, learn to ininterced for the gospel . They will leave anyway..if they get what they want or not. 2 The Pharisees: they have some semblance of devotion. No depth. Public prayer life but no private prayer life. 3. Grand Finale: Colors of Grace - The Coat of Many Colors

Your strong conviction in the Salvation story can only get stronger, it can't reach a limit. That's quite amazing, thinking about it. Church was amazing today.  It was the grand finale of the teaching series colors of Grace.  This is was an exposé on How Joseph was somewhat a type of Jesus. When we study the lives of these 2 personalities, we see several similarities, this also emphasizes the fact that: -  The Old Testament is the New Testament revealed. -  The entire bible is all about Jesus and his Salvation work. God knows the end from the beginning and He knows the beginning from the end and so with the life of Joseph, he shows us some similitude of what to expect in the life of Jesus. - Jesus, just like Joseph was the beloved of his Father. Jacob gave Joseph a Coat of Many Colours. God spoke from the skies and sent a dove during Jesus' baptism to tell everyone "This is my beloved son..." -  Joseph had 12 brothers. Jesus had 12 Disciples. - Judah, one of Jos...

Colors of Grace: Grace and Sexual Sins

Today's sermon, what a very clear message, beautifully delivered. I'll try to summarize what stood out in the next few lines with an analogy that was used and that would drive home a key point in this sermon.. Here we go... When we look at the grading system for exams, any student that gets below 39 is considered to have failed. The scripture in Roman 3v23 comes to mind, All have sinned and haven fallen short of the Glory of God. ALL men have failed by God's standard. All men got below 39 by God marking scheme. By the way, looking at the etymology for  the word Sin (the study of Words). The word Sin means to missed the mark or to go astray. This sermon is a way to correct our Judging tendencies as humans, when others miss the mark or go astray in a different way than we do. Back to the exam analogy, if 2 persons took an exam and got 12/100 and someone else took the exam and got 30/100, guess what, both persons failed the exam woefully, but as humans and believers alike, we ...

The Colors of Grace: Snow - Understanding Holiness.

Sermon at Church today was lit, literally. An Expose as usual. I'll keep this brief, hopefully. The cost of wrong or almost right doctrine is costly. When it comes to the word of God, it's so crucial that we accurately divide and interpret what the bible truly means. Language is a tool at our disposal, we shouldn't let it get in the way. The Sermon starts with how colors are used in the bible as a metaphor for our Spiritual Conditions or the state of our heart. Isaiah 1v17 MSG -- Come. Sit down. Let's argue this out." This is God 's Message: "If your sins are blood-red, they'll be snow-white. If they're red like crimson, they'll be like wool. This is the second teaching in the Color of Grace series. Last week, we talked about Scarlet Red(I missed my sermon notes, but watch it here ) Today, we talked about Snow (White) - Understanding Holiness. Holiness - Let's start with what you understand by this word. You'd likely think it means to ...

Baptizo: The Doctrine of Baptism

Priotizing scripture over experiences is our priority. Heb 1v1. Baptizo means to immerse in something. Luke 12v50, Mark 10v38. Water baptism. john 1v23-26 Acts 19v4 John baptize with the baptism of repentance..SAYING... (it was a. Message, a symbol of something) Matthew 3v7 Repentance - change of heart. The baptism of John the Baptist points to repentance. It was a message. The baptism in Water was more of a place holder.  A "beta version" .what is the water baptize As many as seen the Baptism Gal 3v27-29 Romans 6v 3-4 It's representing your inclusion in Christ's and resurrection in Him . .1 Cor 1v17 ... The Gospel is the only requirements.. Not baptism. Act 8v13 Rom 6v4-11 Folks, my sermon notes don't do enough justice to this sermon. I strongly encourage you to watch the full sermon below and a recap of the sermon in music by Gamie

Marked: The Doctrine of Circumcision

God called Moses [to deliver the people of Isreal], Later, we see that God wanted to kill Moses, why would God want to do that? We see the reason in Exodus 4:24–26. Moses wasn't  abiding with God's law of being "Marked" (circumcised) detailed explanation here. - https://www.gotquestions.org/kill-Moses.html Today's sermon was quite expository and there's quite lot to understand and we should be open to learning. God's priority for the unsaved, is Salvation, but as a believer, God's priority for us is to grow in knowledge of Him, so we can worship better. Today's sermon on the Doctrine of circumcision help us further establish that the entire bible, just like a movie is related and connected. We could see several events and situations that reflect on or suggest things to come. Safe to say everything about the bible points to Christ and His salvation work. Much of the old testament are actually symbols of Jesus and his work of salvation.. but this isn...

The Marriage Code by Bisi Olasoetan. 28th Feb 2021

Sermon starts with Eph 5:33 - The Mystery about Marriage. And a Prayer to God to reveal. Pastor Bisi of the Secret place wives brings a unique and uncommon perspective to the institution of Marriage. If I attempted to sum up the sermon in a few words it would  be ..  Marriage is a divine call to fixing your partner...or better put a call to reconcile your spouse to God . This may not be an unfamiliar perspective, but the meaning is more profound when you understand, you too need some fixing. Some key points from the sermon. Marriage is one of the kind of relationship that goes sour fast. - If you are experiencing issues in your Marraige..nothing is wrong..(it's a part of it. (This explains everything, if there is an issue, it an opportunity to do the Lord's works, and you'll be fulfilling God's purpose) John 15v2 - 4 tells us why. He that abides in Him bears fruit. We treat challenges in marriage as a wall, instead of a bump. (The friction calls for us to slow down and ...

The Courtship Code by Laju Iren

This sermon started with a common thing among our generation:  Jumping into conclusion. Pastor Laju goes on to outline various codes that should guide us during dating. Code 1: Dating is not a hobby . It's not something you do for fun. You can have fun in it (going out e.t.c) but it's not all for fun 4 signs that you are not being serious. 1. You choose without thinking about it 2. You have little or no standards. 3. No objectives: no goal in mind. 4. When you only do the fun part. Code 2: Love is a choice You are not a slave to your feelings, family or prophets. You must intentionally consider. You can't be in relationship due to circumstances beyond your control. 6. mistakes people make when choosing. - circumstances - low expectations  - unrealistic expectations: you are in your process, so also your partner. You need grace to be able to see beyond now - Ill preparedness. - Wrong counsel. - Spiritual gymnastic Code 3: Love is visionary / successful relationship are possi...

Love Code Conference 2021 - Feb 14th

Happy Valentine's Today's sermon was lit. However, 1 thing stood out -  A relationship can be ordained by God and yet it does not work. In Acts 13v1-2 Paul and Barnabas were specifically divinely called to be partners in ministry, but we see that in Acts 15v36-39 , there was a strong disagreement and they separated, the partnership didn't work out and Paul went on to do stuff with Silas. Quite profound. A good reminder that God is not one who would enforce His will on you. He has given each and everyone of us the power of choosing, and that includes the choice of a life partner and the choice to make the relationship work. He would offer you His ideas, suggest His preferences, at the end of the day, the ball is in court as they say  🎾 Another key take away is: Be willing to wait till you have your spec (your kind of life partner). We take an example from the first man - Adam. Though he had Animals around him that could be a companion, he waited for God to give him his ...

Love is

Love is not a feeling Love is not a set of behaviors Love is not a mental stimulation Love is not a trophy, not another achievement. Love is not only shown to and for your partner. God is love and He is the foundation of Love as we know it. Submission is not exclusive to a good marriage. 1 Cor 16v16, 1Pet 5v5 Your submission to the authority of God will make you a good partner. Christ is our example for Love. 1 John 3v16

Faith over Fear 🛐🛐/😱

It was another insightful service at church today, still learning about Faith. The key learning from the sermon is for us to have a balanced perspective to faith. Not being stereotypical or embracing a single side to Faith. Yes, we would face fears, but our Faith must be bigger than our fears. This sermons builds on from last week's, where we talked about Prophetic Faith and the motive + context.of Faith. If I were.to sum up last week's and this week's sermon in one sentence, it would be: True Faith is prophetic, prophecy can seem good or bad, but it's still the God kind of Faith. Let's see some illustration, David and Joseph. Both men were carried by prophecy, backed by God but their path to fufilling destiny were very different. David, a shepard boy, living a normal life was visited at home, to be anointed for royalty. He was not even regarded initially. He had no dream, no vision. It was an easy ride.to the throne for him. Joseph had a dream and that ...

Prophetic Faith 🤯

I'm in a state of "mind blown" I mean I have heard several teachings on Faith and how it is worked, but never ever I've I heard it preached the way it was a few hours ago at Church, twice! (Twice because I had to join the second service again just to .. what's the word... behold these truths.) I bless God for the Servant of God, Pastor Emmanuel Iren. Now unto today's sermon points... just a few key points really, cos this shouldn't be long, and I'll strongly suggest you Watch a replay for the sermon on Youtube. Before I proceed I feel I need to say this, the content of this sermon, I think might not be so easy for a new Christian to grab at first hand. If you are not so familiar with bible characters and their experiences, you might feel lost, but you should get the main principle. If you've been a Christian for a while, you should be familiar, but you definitely will gain a new perspective to what Faith is,  a right perspective (though unpopular)...

Faith Vocabulary. Mayowa Sanni (CCI intl)

Faith Insight. Before Jesus walked on Water, Moses and the israelites had a good chance to do so at the parting of the red sea, but they were  limited by the measure of Moses' faith. God didn't expect them to cry for help Exo 14v15. More like you have everything you need for the situation. Moses had the rod God gave him and had done wonders with it in the past. The same Rod could have frozen the entire sea and they will all walk. It was up to Moses and his Faith to be creative. As a believer you have it in you. Everything you need. Though no rod, but you have the Holy Spirit. 🔥 Several instance Jesus questioned why the followers keeps "disturbing" him because of their little faith,  after showing them the way.  Matthew 8v24, Matthew 14v29, Matthew 16v8, Matthew 17v14. How to your train and build your faith. 3 ways. 1. Believe 2. Speak 3. Act. The resources you need is in the Word/word, (the Word God said and the one you say and keep saying) Other rules to...
